Lucy Meadows has been found dead.
Lucy Meadows, the woman who the Daily Mail wrote about.
Lucy Meadows, the woman who taught so many children.
Lucy Meadows, the woman who faced one the greatest challenges.
Lucy Meadows, the woman born a man.
I am disgusted that in this day and age, in a world where we turn more to science and less to religion we still judge transgendered people. In a world where we say science is gospel now more than actual gospel. Science that shows us things are constantly evolving. That sometimes we adapt and sometimes science proves that nature can get it wrong (evolution!?) and that often it is for the better.
So why is someone being transgender so hard to stomach for some people? Are we really that afraid of the unknown? I am appalled at some of the disgusting remarks I have read regarding this woman’s passing.
Transgender does not make them less of a person, less a part of society and me care less about them. I believe in all people should be treated equally and fairly. We can no longer treat a woman less because of her sex, so can we now disregard gender all together as a factor to discrimnate? Transgendered people are no less of a person that you or I. They acknowledge they are born into a different body and want to change that. I wont judge. I dont know what that is like but I can imagine it is utterly horrific.
I wont trivalise this woman’s passing but I will say I stand up for LGBT rights.
Lucy Meadows, may your sorrowful passing teach the world a lesson. RIP
That is sad!
