Recently I have been somewhat unwell and whilst there is no need to go into exact details lets just say a few hospital treatments , a teeny bit of surgery (teeny? hahaha) and medication I am well on the road to full health. Sadly I was made to have two weeks enforced rest by my doctor as I needed to attend treatment sessions etc. So those who know me well enough, understand that about three hours into this ‘rest’ period I was climbing the walls. I love to be doing things so being told to do not much more than a short bimble about the shops and DEFINATELY no performing was pretty annoying. Admittedly recent events in Japan have put things into prespective and lets face it my problems arent worth anything. So less whining.
Coming to end of my enforced leave has meant I have felt more active physically and in much less pain so I instantly took up the opportunity to go with fellow burlesque Eris Eveiller (who was in town performing at a yacht club no less) on a boat trip along the River Thames. Eris and I are old friends spending a notable bonding session whilst driving in thick fog from Bournemouth to perform in Exeter at the wonderful Kinky & Quirky. It involved poop coffee, a motel from hell and a cow statue. Needless to say it was hilarious. This girl has a cracking sense of humour – she performs a Stig burlesque act! So the idea of bobbing along the River Thames with her spanked of giggles and goof ball antics!
I have to say I had a wonderful time…. I even got to steer the boat from Putney back up river for a bit…
Enjoy!
But as usual this wasnt the only thing I got up to…oops: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvlvR1FMSRw
The crew were so welcoming and put up with us impeccably. Whats more they said we can come back any time. Hats off to them they are tougher men than I have met in a long time. 🙂
